2019 Billboard Music Awards are starting to look a lot like the 2018 edition. It’s been announced that Kelly Clarkson is returning to host the event, which will air live on May 1st on NBC from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. This will also be the second year in a row that NBC will be airing the three-awards awards show.
“I had so much fun hosting the Billboard Music Awards last year that I’m back for more,” Clarkson said in a released statement. “We’re turning it up a notch this year, and I can’t wait to celebrate all of my fellow amazing artists for another unforgettable night of live music.”
Clarkson proved to be a natural host for the event, and she has the credentials as well. Since her 2002 debut, the former winner of American Idol is a three-time Grammy winner, has 11 top 10 singles to her credit, as well as three Number One hits. Of her 8 albums, three have reached the top of the charts, with all of them reaching the top 3.
